Christianity in the Western world, has been
developed on the concept of "felt needs" .. directly in line with a
feelings-based culture and society.
But, my question is: isn't it our feelings and our "felt needs" that
have gotten us into trouble and into sin? Shouldn't we expect
salvation to deal with objective answers rather than with our "felt
needs"?

Kodiak, felt needs are one of the most dangerous things to Christianity. Jesus let us know in the Sermon On The Mount that God is going to take care of us. He also gave us a very long list of Christian characteristics. We need to address the real need that is in society and that need is only met with Jesus. BBT

My salvation is determined by one person. Not by me. I made a conscious decision long ago to put it into His hands and from there on out I have tried ( and failed ) to live up to expectations.
I've been given the Holy Spirit and I try to move with it as best I can, again I fail all the time. But there is one person who can redeem me from my failures and determine my salvation; regardless of my feelings or my needs or any actions based thereupon.

My feelings are usually what pulls me away from my walk with the Lord. Feelings are not reliable indicators of truth, they are dependent upon emotions, situations, moods, etc. I try to remember that, and it helps me allow Jesus to correct my course.
