Advice muchly appreciated

I would like to spend more time with Krysten (12). Any suggestions where to take her? What did your father do with you at that age? Or what did you do with your daughter at that age? I think I will take her to Hidden Lake Gardens to start. I would like your input, thanks.

  • Ashly liked fishing..good for me, but she also wasn't real picky, also good for me.
    I would maybe pick her brain one day and find out what she is into, kids(Young Ladies)at that age seem to change from year to year with maturity, I probably didn't help you much, but you will figure it out.
    Sometimes just spending time alone with dad is enough.
    Maybe Dinner and a Movie date with Dad..say's Christina.

  • Some of my best memories with my dad is when he took my sister and I to the lake to skip rocks and fish. Put-Put is also fun. Of course, taking her the mall to shop would be a hit. Good luck=)

  • Kodiak, I am not an expert in this field but I do know one thing and that is just spend time with her. I really don't think it's about what you do together as much as it is doing something together. I think Jay is right on with seeing what she would like to do with the old bald man and go from there.   • My neice is all about window shopping, I know it would be a bit of torture for you but it may be worth it. Just going and wandering stores and then stopping and getting a smoothy or something at the food court of local shop.

  • How about a dinner date, and then walking around downtown? Not necessarily in Tecumseh, but maybe Ann Arbor, or the River Walk in Toledo?

  • Love the go carts and putt-putt ideas. Shopping, take in a movie or a play, ice cream date. You can also do other things together such as bake cookies, find smoothie recipes to make, pick strawberries and then make strawberry shortcake together. Star gazing at night or go to the planetarium together in Jackson. Do you roller blade or bike? Take up the trails around. Have fun whatever you guys do!
